Ameritech Family & Education Outpost

OVERVIEW

During the summer and fall of 1998 I worked on the Ameritech Family & Education Outpost web site. The Outpost provided a wealth of resources for teaching and learning using technology in the classroom and at home for parents, students, and educators. The Web site was launched in February 1999. It is no longer available online.

AWARDS

LetsNet, which is a subset of the Outpost site, was selected by Lightspan's StudyWeb® as one of the best educational resources on the Web. December 6, 2000.

FUNDING

This project was funded by Ameritech (now SBC.)

ROLE

I served as project manager and chief web architect on the project. I worked with Susanna Tellschow and Kurt Besecker to design and implement the web site. We worked with various contacts at Ameritech to generate the content in the site.
